Scott Nass, M.D., MPA, FAAFP, AAHIVS is a family physician and HIV specialist in California. He takes a holistic approach to healthcare, incorporating principles of functional medicine and using food as medicine when working with patients to help them meet their health and wellness goals.
He received dual medical degrees from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and Charles R. Drew University in Medicine and Science, and completed Family Medicine residency at Ventura County Medical Center. He has completed four fellowships in the areas of teaching, health equity, and psychiatry, and he holds faculty appointments at Keck School of Medicine of USC, Loma Linda University School of Medicine, and Western University of Health Sciences.
He has held leadership positions in multiple organizations including the American Academy of Family Physicians, California Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Association, Society of Hospital Medicine, and GLMA: Health Professionals Advancing LGBTQ Equality. In his spare time, Nass enjoys writing (mostly for himself) and has published poetry in multiple medical journals.
